rich heritage and inspires an appreciation and understanding of

Canby Historical
Society was incorporated on
May 15, 1968.
Objectives
To
gather, preserve and make available a museum, records and other
material relating to the history of Canby, Oregon and the area
adjacent to Canby having natural, economic and cultural
affinity;
T o stimulate an interest in and knowledge of
the locality's
past;
To discover and/or collect any material which
may help
establish
or illustrate the history of the Canby area;
T o provide for the preservation of such material and
for accessibility,
as far as feasible, to all who wish to
examine
and study it;
T o provide for the preservation of buildings, sites or
monuments
of historic interest;
To disseminate historical information and arouse interest
in the past by publishing historical material,
by holding meetings with addresses and lectures by sponsoring programs and by marking
buildings, sites and monuments.
