About Us

Canby Historical Society was incorporated on May 15, 1968, by Herman Bergman, John R. Nieland, and Viola Mack. The society is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Canby and the surrounding area. Our collection includes artifacts, documents, and photographs that tell the story of the people and events that shaped our community. We offer educational programs, exhibits, and events throughout the year to engage visitors of all ages and backgrounds. Join us in exploring the rich history of Canby and its residents!

At Canby Historical Society, we believe that understanding the past is key to building a better future. By exploring the stories and experiences of those who came before us, we gain insight into the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. We are committed to sharing the history of our community with everyone who wants to learn and grow.
