The Canby Depot Museum is supported entirely by membership fees, cash donations and fundraising events held by its volunteers. Since Canby Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, your membership fees and cash donations maybe tax-deductible. Additionally, Canby Historical Society is a qualified Oregon cultural organization, and a tax credit may be available to contributors through the Oregon Cultural Trust.

The Canby Historical Society preserves our rich heritage and inspires an appreciation and understanding of Canby area history.

Objectives

• To gather, preserve and make available a museum, records and other material relating to the history of Canby, Oregon and the area adjacent to Canby having natural, economic and cultural affinity.
• To stimulate an interest in and knowledge of the locality's past.
• To discover and/or collect any material which may help establish or illustrate the history of the Canby area.
• To provide for the preservation of such material and for accessibility, as far as feasible, to all who wish to examine and study it.
• To provide for the preservation of buildings, sites or monuments of historic interest.
• To disseminate historical information and arouse interest in the past by publishing historical material, by holding meetings with addresses and lectures by sponsoring programs and by marking buildings, sites and monuments.
